The Role

Under general direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinical staff and interns, deliver direct clinical services to clients with identified substance use needs, and manage day‑to‑day clinical operations. The role includes oversight of service delivery, paperwork completion, quality assurance, and program evaluation to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards and requirements in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff.
• Complete performance reviews as required.
• Oversee various administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely client treatment records by staff.
• Monitor accurate completion of billing paperwork.
• Deliver scheduled clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff.
• Document supervisory sessions with staff.
• Meet monthly productivity expectations for assigned staff.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to review and improve the clinical program design.
• Ensure supervisees uphold the agency's Code of Conduct, comply with all Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Qualifications

• Licensed NYSED Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with experience in mental health and substance use treatment.
• Licensed NYSED Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
• Prior management/supervisory experience required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based treatments.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Team player with strong time‑management, writing, and communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills: ability to supervise, coach, mentor, develop, train, and teach mental health therapists, substance use counselors, and other clinical providers.
• Ability to implement and monitor policy and procedure in accordance with agency and program guidelines.
