A medical staffing agency is seeking a temporary Clinical Staff Pharmacist in the Johnstown, CO area. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations, including medication verification, dispensing, and system management. An active Colorado Pharmacist License and experience in acute inpatient behavioral health are required. This position includes a Monday to Friday schedule with on-call duties after hours and weekends. Competitive pay and training provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Experience in acute inpatient behavioral health settings is required.
• Familiarity with HCS order entry and Pyxis ES is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Dispense medications to units and manage Pyxis systems.
• Provide troubleshooting support for the Pyxis system.
• Offer clinical decision support to the medical staff.

Job description

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a short-term coverage assignment at a behavioral health facility in the Johnstown, CO area. This role will support pharmacy operations, medication verification, dispensing, and Pyxis management in collaboration with the facility’s pharmacy leadership.

Assignment Details

• Coverage Dates: April 29 – May 5
• Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
• On-call required after hours and weekends

Requirements

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License (in good standing)
• Acute inpatient behavioral health experience required
• Experience with HCS order entry preferred
• Experience with Pyxis ES preferred (training available)

Responsibilities

• Order verification
• Medication dispensing to units/Pyxis
• Pyxis troubleshooting/support
• Clinical decision support for medical staff

• 3–5 days of training required prior to coverage
