Job summary

Randstad is seeking a meticulous Clinical Specimen Accessioner in Foster City, CA to join our laboratory operations team. In this full-time on-site role, you will ensure incoming clinical samples are documented and prepared accurately for downstream testing.

Responsibilities include receiving, logging, data entry into LIMS, sample processing, and strict adherence to GDP and safety; candidate must have a high school diploma and be comfortable handling blood specimens and following SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on comfort handling and processing biological samples, including human blood specimens.
• Strong computer proficiency with fast, accurate data entry skills.
• Proven ability to follow SOPs, written protocols, and safety standards with high precision.
• Availability to work on-site in Foster City, CA (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, log, and accurately accession incoming clinical laboratory specimens.
• Enter specimen data and track sample workflows using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Prepare, sort, and aliquot biological samples—including blood specimens—under strict safety protocols.
• Identify sample discrepancies or documentation errors and elevate per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and clinical laboratory safety guidelines.
