Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking an Associate Mako Product Specialist to support surgeons with the Mako robot in orthopedic procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, providing technical and clinical guidance, education, and pre-operative planning to improve patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with sales and marketing to increase product utilization, while maintaining precise case planning and inventory control in a field-based role across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Aptitude in technical skills and technology systems (e.g. ERP software, Office Suite).
• 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Sales or technical product experience, healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn new technology and support surgeons during procedures.
• Provide guidance and resolve product/service issues in the OR.
• Educate customers and conduct in-services, including pre-operative planning.
• Ensure cases are planned with surgeons and inventory accounted for.

What you will do

Learn new technology. Provide support to surgeons. Change healthcare. Improve lives. As an Associate Mako Product Specialist at Stryker, you will help improve orthopedic surgeries around the world and help us achieve our mission of making healthcare better. In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping surgeons use Stryker’s Mako robot– our newest product used in robotic-arm assisted surgery. Acting as a helpful source for all things related to the Mako, you’ll provide clinical support to all end-users, offer guidance and assistance during surgical procedures, and resolve technical product and service issues as needed. In addition, you’ll also provide customer education and ongoing in-services, such as assisting surgeons in pre-operative implant planning. We’ll count on your attention to detail to ensure all cases are planned and reviewed with surgeons prior to scheduled surgeries, and that all inventory is accounted for. In addition to the trusting partnerships you’ll build with surgeons and hospital staff, you’ll also work collaboratively with internal sales and marketing colleagues, helping them grow product utilization and increase volume with current and potential customers. What You need

• 4-year degree or equivalent
• Valid drivers’ license with good driving record
• Demonstrated aptitude in technical skills and technology systems and administrative procedures (e.g. ERP software, Office Suite, file processing and record management).

In addition, we prefer:

• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Previous experience in a sales or technical product environment, preferably in the healthcare industry

Work Flexibility

• Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
• Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
• Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
• Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
