Job summary

Haemonetics Software Solutions seeks a Clinical Specialist to work with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area. You will identify clinical needs of physicians and hospital groups and demonstrate how products support patient care and meet goals.

You will provide case coverage, educate staff on product use, and stay current with product and therapy developments. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Medical training (RN, cath lab technician, etc.) preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience, medical industry preferred.
  • Strong clinical orientation and experience in interventional cardiology or cardiac surgery preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Territory Manager for case coverage and clinical outcomes.
  • Serves as primary clinical support resource for coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education.
  • Educates customers on merits and proper clinical usage of products.
  • Informs customers on latest product and technology developments through discussion.
  • Links clinical data to key messaging.

Clinical Specialist – Sales

Summary: The Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area to meet existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them achieve their goals and meet patient/client needs. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving projected sales goals, company objectives, and increasing sales revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the Territory Manager to provide good case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Serves as the primary resource for clinical support in the areas of coverage, troubleshooting and in‑service education for company products.
  • Educates the customer on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  • Informs the customer on the latest product, therapy and technology developments in the industry by actively engaging in procedural and technical discussion.
  • Demonstrates the ability to link clinical data to key messaging.
  • Meets with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions using company products.
  • Transfers account knowledge and other requested information to the local Territory Manager on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships while dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in business communication and grammar.
  • Attention to detail to maintain records and process reports.
  • Knowledge of MS Office systems.
  • A thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and territory's customer base.
  • Ability to work independently and be self‑directed.
Education and Experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Medical training (RN, cath lab technician, etc.) preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience, medical industry preferred.
  • Strong clinical orientation, experience with products for use in interventional cardiology and/or cardiac surgery strongly preferred.
Skills
  • A demonstrated strong work ethic coupled with a sense of urgency to accomplish objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish personal credibility in the targeted territory to create a forum for delivering our message to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians as well as overcoming obstacles.
  • Emotional intelligence to manage their schedule effectively and efficiently.
  • Previous industry experience preferably in the Cardiovascular space calling on Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, administrators, and clinical staff members.
  • Previous experience with vessel closure is preferred.
  • Previous experience providing clinical education and training to staff members is preferred.
  • Values teamwork and collaboration internally and externally with customers.
Physical Demands

Ability to stand for long hours wearing heavy Cath Lab protective clothing.

Travel may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is: $64,512.00-$106,496.00/Annual. Pay Transparency: The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job‑knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non‑sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long‑term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including, without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short‑ and long‑term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
