Jobtailor seeks an experienced Ophthalmology Clinical Research Project Manager in Massachusetts to oversee site relationships on awarded projects, review EHRs against sponsor protocols, and tailor deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in ophthalmology clinical capacity, focusing on retina.
  • 1+ year of project management experience.
  • Associates Degree, Certified Ophthalmic Technician Program (COT/COA) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage site relationships for awarded projects.
  • Review EHR records against sponsor protocols and eligibility criteria.
  • Deliverables to sites tailored to contractually agreed expectations.
  • Serve as ophthalmology SME for collaboration with research and data science teams.
  • Attend key conferences to build and maintain site relationships.
  • US point of contact for US sites related to Candidate Identification projects.
  • Build relationships with clinical site coordinators and principal investigators.
  • Perform medical record reviews to evaluate trial eligibility.
  • Deliver results to sites and monitor outcomes.
  • Manage sponsor relationships; attend meetings and escalate when needed.
  • Work closely with data science and research teams to ensure quality of client deliverables.
  • Serve as SME for eligibility-criteria consulting.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as company needs evolve.

Job description

  • Manage site relationships for awarded projects.
  • Review EHR records against sponsor protocols and eligibility criteria.
  • Manage deliverables to sites, tailoring them as needed and contractually agreed to ensure positive relationships and outcomes.
  • Serve as an ophthalmology SME for collaboration and adjudication on ophthalmic or medical criteria with the research and data science team.
  • Attend key conferences to build and maintain relationships with sites and coordinators and facilitate confidence in the services.
  • Serve as a US point of contact for US sites related to Candidate Identification projects.
  • Build relationships with clinical site research coordinators and principal investigators.
  • Perform medical record reviews of pre-identified patients to evaluate clinical trial eligibility.
  • Deliver results to sites and monitor and collect outcomes.
  • Manage sponsor relationships for individual projects, provide updates, attend contractually agreed meetings, and escalated to commercial team members when needed.
  • Work closely with data science and research teams to ensure quality and accuracy of client deliverables.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for eligibility-criteria consulting.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as company needs evolve.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years in the ophthalmology field in a clinical capacity, with special focus on retina.
  • 1 or more years of project management experience.
  • Associates Degree, Completion of a Certified Ophthalmic Technician Program, COT, COA, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset
  • Experience as a CRC is nice to have, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in industry best practices as related to GCP, GDPR, and other relevant policies.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Strong customer service skills with an eye for detail and ability to nurture relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
