Job Overview

The Clinical Site Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the day-to-day operations and clinical oversight of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. This role combines leadership and clinical expertise, overseeing medical practice staff. The Clinical Site Supervisor will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage staffing needs, monitor revenue cycle metrics, manage budgets, and provide direct clinical care as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage recruitment, hiring, training, and development of clinic staff.
  2. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address personnel issues.
  3. Lead regular team meetings to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
  4. Oversee daily clinic operations for efficient patient flow.
  5. Coordinate patient scheduling with providers and ensure adequate staffing.
  6. Monitor and improve patient flow to reduce wait times.
  7. Work above your FTE as a salaried professional when necessary.
  8. Maintain 24/7 accountability for the department/area.
  9. Demonstrate flexibility within your professional scope and duties.
Compliance and Operations
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Review patient feedback, address concerns, and develop improvement plans.
  • Ensure clinical protocols and guidelines are followed.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Monitor clinic metrics and implement operational improvements.
  • Ensure availability of necessary resources like supplies and technology.
Finance and Revenue Cycle
  • Develop and manage the clinic’s budget to meet financial goals.
  • Oversee expense control, billing, and coding processes.
  • Monitor financial performance indicators and implement strategies to optimize revenue.
Clinical (RN) Duties
  • Provide direct patient care, assessments, treatments, and education.
  • Support clinical staff with complex cases.
  • Accurately document patient care in electronic medical records.
  • Assist with triage and coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Administer medications and treatments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience in clinical or ambulatory care preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and healthcare technology preferred.
  • Ability to supervise staff and resolve problems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and revenue cycle management preferred.
  • Financial management skills preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
Educational and Licensure Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Active RN License in IL required.
  • Within 12 months of hire, must complete a recognized nursing leadership or specialty certification (effective 4/01/2024).
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, with 2+ years in leadership preferred.
