Résumé du poste

Octozi, a clinical intelligence platform, seeks a Clinical Scientist with deep oncology experience to shape AI-driven clinical data workflows. You will validate AI outputs, ensure clinical accuracy, and align product direction with sponsor needs.

You will partner with customers and internal teams to design robust AI checks, lead trainings, and drive validation studies. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role at the intersection of science, product, and customer success.

Qualifications

  • Master's, PhD, or MD with oncology clinical development experience.
  • Hands-on work in medical data review, safety review, or clinical data interpretation.
  • Fluency with trial data: labs, adverse events, concomitant meds, tumor assessments (RECIST).
  • Comfort training customers, leading scientific discussions, and translating feedback into product direction.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI; no coding required but understanding model behavior is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to publish and speak for Octozi.
  • Startup temperament: comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and wearing multiple hats.

Responsabilités

  • Partner with customer clinical, medical review, and safety teams to understand workflows and identify AI-driven reductions in manual work.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product to design clinically sound AI checks and translate customer needs into requirements.
  • Deep-dive into AI models and automated checks to verify clinical correctness and test edge cases against real study data.
  • Lead customer training, onboarding, and ongoing scientific touchpoints to ensure confident adoption of Octozi.
  • Collaborate with external clinical partners, advisors, and investigators on validation work and joint initiatives.
  • Contribute to publications in scientific and clinical journals.
  • Represent Octozi externally through conferences, webinars, and industry working groups.

Description du poste

Octozi is an agentic AI clinical intelligence platform that automates clinical data workflows for pharmaceutical sponsors. We ingest data from EDC, safety, labs, and other clinical systems, then apply AI to streamline data cleaning, discrepancy detection, medical review, safety reconciliation, coding, and reporting. Our customers run real trials on Octozi today, and we're building the next generation of AI-driven medical and safety review alongside them.

The role

We're hiring a Clinical Scientist with deep oncology experience to sit at the center of our product, our AI, and our customers. This is not a back-office science role. You'll shape what we build, validate that our AI gets the clinical details right, and make sure the sponsors using Octozi get real value from it.

You will:

  • Partner with customer clinical, medical review, and safety teams to understand their workflows and identify where AI can remove manual burden
  • Work with our engineering and product teams to design clinically sound AI checks, review logic, and analytical views, and translate customer needs into product requirements
  • Dive deep into our AI models and automated checks to verify clinical correctness, pressure-test edge cases, and drive validation against real study data
  • Lead customer training, onboarding, and ongoing scientific touchpoints so teams adopt Octozi confidently and fully
  • Collaborate with external clinical partners, advisors, and investigators on validation work and joint initiatives
  • Collaborate on and contribute to publications in scientific and clinical journals
  • Represent Octozi externally through conference talks, webinars, and industry working groups, building our voice in AI-enabled clinical development
Qualifications
  • Master's, PhD, or MD
  • Experience in oncology clinical development, with hands-on work in medical data review, safety review, or clinical data interpretation
  • Fluency with clinical trial data: labs, adverse events, concomitant meds, tumor assessments (RECIST), and the realities of messy EDC data
  • Comfort working directly with customers: you can run a training session, lead a scientific discussion, and turn feedback into product direction
  • Genuine curiosity about AI. You don't need to code, but you need to want to understand how the models work and where they fail
  • Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to publish and speak on behalf of Octozi
  • Startup temperament: comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and wearing multiple hats
Nice to have
  • Experience at a sponsor in data management, medical monitoring, or pharmacovigilance
  • Prior work with AI/ML tools in a clinical setting

You’ll be an early scientific voice at a fast-growing company defining how AI can redefine clinical development. Your judgment will directly shape the product, and your name will be on the work.
