Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the PCU at Olathe Hospital. The RN coordinates interdisciplinary patient care, provides safe, holistic treatment, and demonstrates leadership in clinical decision-making and problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Nurses hired after September 1, 2026 without a BSN must sign ADN-to-BSN agreement and complete BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety, including order writing format and correct administration.
• Answer calls, triage patient care and assess patient needs.
• Ensure patient and staff safety and intervene when concerns arise.
• Maintain consistent work schedule and professional conduct.
• Provide direct nursing care including chemotherapy, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families using available resources.
• Pursue unit-specific certifications and participate in ongoing learning with the multidisciplinary team.
