Medical Center Health System in Odessa, TX seeks a licensed LVN to provide safe, compassionate nursing care under the supervision of an experienced RN. You will perform routine patient care tasks and follow established nursing procedures using the nursing process.

The ideal candidate holds a current Texas LVN or RN license (BSN preferred) and a current BLS certification. Varied shifts and healthy teamwork are part of the role in a busy hospital setting.

Functions as a staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experience R.N. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process.

Position Summary for LVN:

The LVN scope of practice is a directed scope of practice and requires appropriate supervision. The LVN functions within the parameters of the legal scope of practice and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and the policies, procedures, and guidelines of Medical Center Health System. The LVN is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health needs.

Education:

Hold a current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse (BSN preferred) or holds a current Texas permit or license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. BSN preferred.

Training and Experience:

Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
