Job summary

ExamWorks Peer Review Network enables physicians to complete peer reviews remotely as an independent contractor, at your own convenience, and to supplement your income while expanding your expertise.

As part of our reviewer network, you would provide evidence-based medical reviews on medical necessity, quality of care, and hospital stays, with reviews completed on our secure, proprietary online portal and no patient contact.

Qualifications

• Active board certification in the United States.
• Active, unrestricted medical licensure in the United States.
• Currently provide direct clinical patient care at least 8 hours/week (in-person or telemedicine).
• 5+ years of clinical practice expertise (including residency).
• Ability to complete reviews from within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based medical reviews regarding subjects such as medical necessity and quality of care.
• Deliver objective recommendations on patient care through peer review.
• Complete reviews remotely via the secure online portal with no patient contact.

What is a Peer Review?

Peer Review is a written evaluation in which a contracted healthcare professional provides comprehensive reviews of, and objective recommendations on, patient care. Peer review services are often requested in support of utilization management processes that ensure prudent use of resources and appropriateness of care.

Case review types include workers' compensation, disability, and health plan prior authorizations and appeals.

As part of our reviewer network, you would provide evidence-based medical reviews regarding subjects such as medical necessity, quality of care, and hospital stays. Your expertise ensures that patients receive high quality healthcare.

There is no patient contact and all reviews are completed on our secure, proprietary online portal.
