Job summary

Penn State University seeks a Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine in Hershey, PA to support clinical research trials by designing data collection instruments, performing data analysis, and preparing reports.

You will recruit subjects, manage data, draft protocols and consent forms, train staff, and liaise with the Principal Investigator and central research offices. Minimum Associate Degree with 2+ years of experience; generous benefits include a 75% tuition discount.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with clinical research processes and data handling preferred.
• Knowledge of IRB procedures and consent processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Recruit subjects for clinical trials and describe studies to potential participants.
• Schedule participation and manage data collection across studies.
• Draft, review, and submit protocols, abstracts, and consent forms.
• Collect, code, and analyze data; contribute to data plans and study findings.
• Develop project materials and questionnaires; train staff in data recording.
• Develop and submit IRB documents; ensure compliance and quality control.
• Monitor project logistics including inventory and equipment; liaise with investigators.
• Prepare manuscripts and scholarly articles; may supervise staff as needed.
• Other duties as required.
