Fortrea is seeking a Clinical Research Technician II for our Madison, WI site. This full-time, office-based role supports clinical pharmacology trials in Phase 1, providing hands-on patient care and data collection.

You will perform vitals, collect samples, and assist with ECGs, lab processing, and study room setup while maintaining protocol adherence and patient safety. Training is provided, with opportunities to work with leading pharma and biotech partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification preferred.
• 0–1 year of related experience.
• Fast-paced environment with strict protocol adherence.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
• Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holters.
• Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution.
• Monitors meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
• Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
• Assist with screening procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working and study environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job DescriptionAs one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US.As a Clinical Research Technician II you will perform practical / administrative activities of clinical trials in Clinical Pharmacology in line with protocol and regulatory requirements.This is a full-time , office based position in Madison, WI.Open to new grads and experienced clinical professionals. Includes six weeks of paid training.If you join us, you will work with some of the world´s leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of a new drug.Many technicians are drawn to their profession because of its direct impact on patient care. Whilst allowing you to have a close face-to-face relationship with participants, and as you continue to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, you´ll be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, witnessing their development firsthand.
