Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a high school program.
• Currently enrolled in an academic program (high school through graduate school).
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; able to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Learns about the process and assists a study team with recruit and enrollment of patients onto clinical trials according to study protocols.
• Assists in checking eligibility criteria with patients' medical records and verifies information with study staff.
• Learns informed consent processes and assists in scheduling appointments and follow-up tests.
• Learns to monitor protocol adherence and identify problems, notifying the PI or nurse as needed.
• Learns to extract data from records and enter data into the computerized system.
