Castle Biosciences Inc. is hiring a Clinical Research Scientist to work from our Scottsdale, AZ laboratory, guiding assay-related troubleshooting, data review, and study design.

You will collaborate with R&D, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure scientifically sound and operationally practical studies, with a focus on translating ideas into validated, scalable protocols. The role requires 4–7 years of research/development experience (or advanced degrees with relevant experience) and hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Science with related research experience.
• Master's degree with 3–5 years of experience or PhD with 1–2 years of experience.
• Minimum 4 years of lab experience in High Complexity testing plus QA training or 2 years clinical QA experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical resource for assay-related troubleshooting and data review.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate new samples and study concepts into protocols and data collection plans.
• Review results, investigate unexpected findings, and support instrument verification and assay validation activities.
• Provide technical guidance to laboratory personnel and contribute to regulatory documentation as needed.
