Job summary

Texas Oncology in Tyler, TX is seeking a Full-time Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to join our oncology team. The role supports the Tyler location with Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm hours, no weekends, call, or major holidays, and can be level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will care for patients receiving cutting-edge treatments within the oncology clinic, coordinating trial activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and thorough documentation throughout the patient

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Current RN licensure in state of practice.
  • Current BLCS or ACLS certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
  • OCN certification strongly preferred or CCRP preferred.
  • Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation.
  • Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process.
  • Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition.
  • Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct.

Full-time Clinical Research Nurse (RN)

This position will support the Tyler location. This is a Full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

What does the Clinical Research Nurse (RN) do?

This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to work as a nurse in oncology clinical research. Responsibilities

Level 1
  • Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education required (BSN preferred).
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in state of practice.
  • Current BLCS or ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
  • OCN certification strongly preferred.
  • CCRC or CCRP certification preferred.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
Level 2
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology.
Level Sr
  • Minimum seven years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology
