Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City seeks a Clinical Research Recruiter in Internal Medicine (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) to coordinate participant recruitment across multiple studies, ensuring enrollment goals are met and compliance with IRB, HIPAA, and GCP.

You will lead outreach using EMR tools like Epic/HERON, engage communities, pre-screen participants, manage records in REDCap or Excel, and work with coordinators and PIs to match participants to studies.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in clinical research or related field, including recruitment of research participants.
• Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of recruitment strategies to meet study enrollment goals.
• Identify, recruit, and engage potential participants using EMR tools, registries, community outreach, digital campaigns, and approved advertising.
• Utilize systems (e.g., Epic, HERON, and other databases) to identify eligible participants.
• Design and implement innovative outreach approaches, including community engagement and provider referral pathways.
• Conduct participant outreach via phone, email, patient portals, and other approved communication methods.
• Collaborate with study teams to align recruitment strategies with protocol-specific eligibility criteria.
