Job summary

Tekton Research Inc. in St. Louis, MO seeks a licensed mental health professional for a contract or full-time role as Clinical Research Psychedelic Therapist and Psychometric Rater.

You will review medical histories, interview participants, and conduct assessments around psychedelic dosing days. Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree, an independent license, at least 1 year of experience with psychometric scales, and are fluent in English (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and independent professional license required.
• PhD degree strongly preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience performing psychometric rating scales in a clinical setting or trials.
• Certifications to rate listed scales (SCID-5-CT, MINI, LSAS, HAM-A/D, C-SSRS, MADRS, MGH-ATRQ, ISI, NPI, CGI, HDRS-17, PANSS, YMRS, MMSE, ADAS-COG, CDR, RBANS, MOCA) highly preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review participants’ medical histories, meet with prospective participants, gather information, and conduct assessments around dosing days.
• Train to administer psychometric rating scales in trials involving ADHD, Alzheimer's, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and related conditions.
• Rate scales such as SCID-5-CT, MINI, LSAS, HAM-A/D, PANSS, MMSE, and MOCA.
• Protect highly sensitive information and ensure data integrity.
• Work independently and collaboratively with study staff and participants.

Position: We are seeking an independently licensed social worker or mental health professional for a contract or full-time role. The selected candidate will receive research training and learn to serve as a psychedelic therapist and psychometric rater.

The professional will complete approximately 40 hours of training and earn certification for work in psychedelic research. The role also offers an opportunity to become a Psychometric Rater, responsible for interviewing research participants and their informants or caregivers as part of eligibility evaluations for studies involving various health conditions. Candidates must be professional, respectful, self-motivated, dependable, and committed to a strong work ethic and high integrity.

Job Description:

Review participants’ medical histories, meet with prospective participants, gather information, and conduct assessments before and after psychedelic dosing days.

Full-time employees may also be trained to administer a variety of psychometric rating scales in clinical trials involving conditions such as ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, epilepsy, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency with Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, and web-based tools, along with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and written, verbal, interpersonal, and listening abilities.

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, participants, managers, and external customers.

Capacity to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing workloads and priorities, solve problems with minimal supervision, and protect highly sensitive information.

Education and Experience:

A relevant master’s degree and independent professional license are required.

A relevant PhD degree strongly preferred

1+ years' experience performing psychometric rating scales in a clinical setting or for clinical trials, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Current or previous certifications to rate the following scales is highly preferred: SCID-5-CT, MINI, LSAS, HAM-A/D, C-SSRS, MADRS, MGH-ATRQ, ISI, NPI, CGI, HDRS-17, PANSS, YMRS, MMSE, ADAS-COG, CDR, RBANS,and MOCA.

Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is a plus.

Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator at a research site is a plus.
