UC San Diego Health in La Jolla seeks a Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to provide primary nursing care for adult volunteers in a Diabetes Clinical Research Center. Under the PI, you will administer drugs, manage infusions, assist with biopsies and glucose tolerance tests, monitor vitals, start IVs and perform phlebotomy while supporting data collection and regulatory activities.

The role requires autonomous practice within ANA standards, supervising non-licensed staff and ensuring protocol

Qualificações

• RN license California and six months of active nursing experience.
• BLS/CPR certification at time of hire; willingness to obtain BART within 6 months.
• Ability to draw blood, start IVs, collect specimens and administer medications.
• Ability to follow clinical research protocols including glycemic clamps and glucose tests.
• Familiar with EKG, oximeter, IV pumps and standard nursing equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide primary nursing to adult volunteers in a clinical research unit.
• Administer drugs, infusions, assist with biopsies and glucose tolerance tests.
• Monitor vital signs, start IV lines, venipuncture and phlebotomy.
• Assist investigators with data collection and regulatory documents.
• Oversee non-licensed staff and ensure QA within protocols.
