Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a nurse researcher to coordinate and implement study protocols, collect data, and manage study-related activities. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and research integrity in a dynamic clinical environment.

The role involves direct patient care, subject recruitment, and collaboration with the PI and sponsors to maintain protocol compliance and timely data reporting. MO/IL RN licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works under the PI's guidance to meet project research objectives.
• Assists with study start-up activities including myIRB applications.
• Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Identifies, screens and enrolls study subjects with the research team.
• Ensures protocol requirements are met and data collection is performed.
• Prepares reportable event reports to sponsor, IRB and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborates with sponsor's research associates during monitoring activities.
• Oversees administration of medications, study drugs, or interventions as appropriate.
• Educates staff nurses about the study procedures and potential adverse events.
• Performs additional duties incidental to the work.
