Job summary

Hannibal Regional Hospital is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to lead clinical coordination and implement research studies. Qualifications

• Current licensure in Missouri as a Registered Nurse or ability to obtain
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Experience in phlebotomy required
• Experience placing IVs and giving infusions required
• Experience in clinical research preferred
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to assess laboratory results and escalate clinically significant values
• Ability to follow detailed timelines for dosing, blood draws and assessments

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement clinical research studies within the organization

Job description

The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for the clinical coordination and implementation of clinical research studies conducted within the organization. This position provides direct clinical care to research participants in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Responsibilities include participant screening and enrollment, informed consent, clinical assessments, administration of Investigational Product and other protocol-required treatments, specimen collection, monitoring of participant safety, identification and management of adverse events, patient education, and accurate documentation of clinical research activities. The Clinical Research Nurse works collaboratively with the Clinical Research Coordinator, Principal Investigator, and other members of the research team to ensure the safe, compliant, and effective conduct of clinical trials. This position may assist with study coordination and administrative activities as needed to support the operational needs of the department.
