Overview

The Markey Cancer Center (MCC), Kentucky’s only NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a detailed-oriented and experienced Clinical Research Lead for our Clinical Research Office (CRO). This position will be the lead for training within the MCC-CRO. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, facilitating smooth interactions with regulatory agencies, and supporting the successful execution of clinical trials. This individual is responsible for the development and management of training to support the organization’s clinical research objectives. This individual will work with departmental and hospital leadership to develop and implement training programs to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead training initiatives within the MCC-CRO to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices in clinical research.
  • Develop and manage training programs to support the organization’s clinical research objectives.
  • Collaborate with departmental and hospital leadership to implement training that keeps the team current with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations and facilitate interactions with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Support the successful execution of clinical trials by equipping staff with necessary knowledge and tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) required
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Supervisory responsibilities: Yes
  • Research certification (SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) preferred
Additional Information
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/wk)
  • Location: Lexington, KY – Onsite
