Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an administrative professional to support researchers by identifying funding opportunities, assisting with proposals, and negotiating contracts within the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) Clinical Research Office (CRO).

You will manage day-to-day regulatory activities, support budget negotiations, and coordinate with Sponsored Programs and CRO accounting to ensure timely submission and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field.
• At least 2 years in business/public administration with emphasis on customer service in financial or contracting position.

Responsibilities

• Provide funding opportunity information to potential applicants by reading newsletters and announcements, identifying sponsor with researcher, and mailing out information.
• Provide guidance to researchers for proposal development by reviewing sponsor guidelines and advising on content.
• Provide grants management support by negotiating and processing awards and obtaining required reports.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with agencies and private organizations to achieve agreements.
• Assist researchers with implementation and negotiation of sponsored research agreements and MTAs.
• Monitor status of contracts for completion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
