Job summary

Southwest Women's Oncology, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, seeks a Clinical Research Director to build and lead our new clinical research vertical, establishing strategy, infrastructure, and partnerships.

You will recruit a team and collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to advance trials with scientific rigor and patient impact. The role requires deep ICH‑GCP/FDA/NIH knowledge, strong leadership, budgeting discipline, and a track record of expanding trial portfolios

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health science, life science, or related field.
• 10+ years of clinical research experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Deep understanding of ICH-GCP, FDA, NIH, and clinical research compliance standards.
• Experience coordinating Phase II–IV therapeutic trials.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, billing, and contract management.
• Excellent communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and manage the clinical research vertical within SWWO, developing long-term strategy, infrastructure, and resourcing plans.
• Partner with the Executive Team to align research strategy with organizational goals and clinical priorities.
• Lead full lifecycle of trials from feasibility to close-out, ensuring budget, compliance, and data integrity.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and manage a team of coordinators and data staff.
• Manage sponsor and stakeholder relations, representing SWWO in networks and conferences.
• Maintain compliance with ICH‑GCP, FDA, NIH, IRB, and institutional requirements; implement SOPs.
