Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Research Data Assistant to support its Oncology Clinical Research Program. You will collect, manage, analyze, and report clinical data to ensure compliance with study protocols and sponsor expectations.

The role requires EPIC experience, familiarity with research databases, and the ability to collaborate with coordinators, investigators, and sponsors to maintain data integrity across trials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a clinical healthcare setting with oncology terminology and electronic medical records is required.
  • Experience navigating EPIC is required; experience with research databases such as Medidata Rave, REDCap, and EPIC SlicerDicer preferred.

  • Collect, review, and enter study data from medical records, laboratory reports, source documents into protocol databases.
  • Ensure timely completion of CRFs and resolution of data queries within sponsor timelines.
  • Evaluate source documentation for accuracy, completeness, and protocol compliance.
  • Maintain study databases and monitor participant follow-up activities for ongoing trials.
  • Utilize multiple data platforms including EHRs and research systems to identify, track, and analyze data.
  • Assist with tracking, processing, and shipment of biological specimens as required.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Research Data Assistant to support our growing Oncology Clinical Research Program. This role is responsible for the accurate collection, management, analysis, and reporting of clinical research data to ensure compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and sponsor expectations. The Research Data Assistant serves as a key member of the research team, collaborating closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, investigators, healthcare providers, and external sponsors to maintain data integrity throughout the lifecycle of oncology clinical trials. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes while working within a mission-driven healthcare organization.

What You Will Do
  • Collect, review, and enter study data from medical records, laboratory reports, source documents, and other approved data sources into protocol-specific databases.
  • Ensure timely completion of case report forms (CRFs) and resolution of data queries within sponsor-defined timelines.
  • Evaluate source documentation for accuracy, completeness, and protocol compliance.
  • Maintain study databases and monitor participant follow-up activities to support ongoing and long-term clinical trials.
  • Utilize multiple data platforms including electronic health records and research systems to identify, track, and analyze participant data.
  • Support implementation of Trinity Health, Trinity Health Of New England, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Clinical Research Coordinators, study investigators, and healthcare providers to obtain and verify required study data.
  • Assist with tracking, processing, and shipment of biological specimens, including blood and tissue samples, as required by study protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a clinical healthcare setting along with working knowledge of oncology medical terminology and electronic medical records is required.
  • Previous clinical research, research coordination, or data management experience preferred.
  • Experience navigating EPIC is required. Experience with research databases such as Medidata Rave, REDCap, and EPIC SlicerDicer preferred.
