Job summary

University of Michigan is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to independently coordinate simple and moderately complex clinical studies. You will support a portfolio of projects within the CRC Career Ladder framework, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure protocol compliance and data integrity.

The role requires a degree or equivalent in clinical research, with 1+ years of related experience, and a willingness to handle IRB submissions, data management, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent in combined education and clinical research experience
• Minimum of 1+ years direct related experience OR advanced degree in health-related areas OR 3 years of related human subjects experience
• Underfill requirement
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is desirable
• An understanding of medical terminology preferred
• Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and practice
• Familiarity with OnCore, Epic, MiCHART, and eResearch applications
• PEERS, CITI, or NIH Protection of Human Subjects Training Certification
• Experience with local and central IRB application processes
• Motivated to help others

Responsibilities

• Assist study team with identifying potential subjects, screening, consenting and enrolling subjects
• Collect specimens and monitor study subjects; ensure integrity of specimens
• Perform data management and results reporting; enter information into CRFs
• Prepare IRB submissions including initial applications and amendments
• Coordinate with sponsors, IRB, and regulatory agencies about progress and issues
• Serve as liaison between study team and sponsors and regulators
• Provide support for audits and monitor visits
• Maintain space and materials for study-related activities
• Work independently with confidentiality and good judgment

Education

Associate’s Degree or equivalent in combined education and clinical research experience

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or equivalent

An understanding of medical terminology
