Job summary

Emory University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to support clinical trials. This role handles administrative activities, manages study databases, screens participants, obtains consent, and ensures data integrity and regulatory compliance across protocols.

Preference will be given to candidates with orthopaedics experience and familiarity with data and sample collection; phlebotomy certification or experience is a plus. This in-person role is based at Emory locations in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with five years clinical research experience.
• Or two years of college with three years clinical research experience.
• Or a licensed as a practical nurse (LPN) and two years clinical research experience.
• Or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific, health related or business administration related program and one year of clinical research experience.
• Or a Master's degree, MD or PhD in a scientific, health related or business administration program.

Responsibilities

• Manage research project databases, develops flow sheets and other study related documents, and completes source documents/case report forms.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Interface with research participants, determine eligibility and consent study participants.
• Approve orders for supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in developing recruitment strategies and conducting screenings for study participants.
• Supervise collection of study specimens and processing.
• Establish case packages for study procedures, monitor scheduling of procedures and charges, coordinate other services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with research protocols, review case report forms and audits for accuracy with source documents, attend monitoring meetings with sponsors.
• Prepare regulatory submissions.
• With credentialing and training may perform phlebotomy or diagnostics.
• Perform related approved responsibilities as required.
