Job summary

MemorialCare is a nonprofit integrated health system with four hospitals, a wide network of care sites, and over 2,000 physicians in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. The Clinical Research Coordinator II supports clinical research protocols and works with subjects, clinic and research staff, and laboratory personnel to ensure compliant trial conduct.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient screening and enrollment, data collection, adverse event reporting, and sponsor communications.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages all aspects of conducting clinical trials from startup to closeout for multiple concurrent moderately complex clinical trials.
• Plans and coordinates subjects' schedules for study procedures and visits, educates subjects on procedures, risks, and benefits.
• Oversees clinical trial expenses, differentiating standard of care vs research and tracking direct costs.
• Collects, processes, ships and stores specimens according to aseptic techniques.
• Creates comprehensive source documents and ensures accurate data reporting and adverse event monitoring.
• Coordinates site visits from sponsors and study meetings, ensuring timely responses and clean interim monitoring feedback.
• Maintains professionalism and proactive communication within the research team.
• Participates in after-hours support if needed and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Be punctual, organized, and adaptable to priorities.
