Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to support clinical studies under supervision. You will screen and recruit participants, coordinate scheduling, and help collect data while maintaining regulatory and study documentation.

Strong communication and data-management skills are essential for success. Responsibilities include collaborating with the PI, conducting phlebotomy or tests as needed, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• BS OR BA required; equivalent experience or research certification acceptable as well
• Some knowledge of medical terminology, clinical practice and/or research studies highly desired
• Sound independent judgment and willingness to learn competence in research methodologies a must

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of sponsored clinical research studies internally and externally.
• Screen applicants, ensure eligibility criteria are met, and determine suitability for participation.
• Develop and implement patient recruitment strategies with the PI and coordinators.
• Assist RCNet administrative activities in conjunction with RCNet Manager and CCI Administrative Director.
• Interacts with patients and families; educate, instruct procedures, and follow up as a liaison between patient and physician.
• Maintain and validate study data; handle data entry into CRFs and generate reports as needed.
• Complete regulatory paperwork for IRB approvals in collaboration with the Research Manager.
• Mail study information or packets to participants and respond to protocol inquiries.
• Communicate regularly with the PI(s) about all aspects of the research trial.
