Job summary

Georgetown University’s Clinical Research Unit seeks a Research Coordinator to support clinical research nurses and manage DXA scan coordination for research and standard care patients. The role includes phlebotomy, vital signs, drug handling from Pharmacy, and off-site visit support.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, BLS, IV skills, and experience in clinical research; DXA/Bilingual skills and ISCD certification within the first year are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with prior clinical assistant, phlebotomy, and clinical research experience.
• BLS certification required; IV insertion skills.
• DXA and bilingual experience a plus; ISCD certification within first year if not already

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with clinical research and standard of care tasks.
• Take vital signs, perform ECGs, and phlebotomy.
• Coordinate DXA patient care and report results for research and standard of care scans.
• Provide administrative support and charting; fulfill receptionist duties as needed.
• Process, store and ship laboratory specimens; maintain IATA certification.
