Overview

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Psychiatry is hiring a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to support federally funded studies in cognitive impairment and schizophrenia. The coordinator will assist in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating clinical research studies, ensuring participant safety, protocol adherence, and regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in participant recruitment, retention, and screening for eligibility.
• Perform study procedures, routine tests, data collection, and daily operations of moderate risk protocols.
• Collect, process, pack, and ship specimens according to protocol specifications.
• Maintain study binders and filings per protocol, UM, and department policy.
• Distribute study drug materials in line with practice standards and delegated by the Principal Investigator.
• Monitor, document, report, and follow up on unanticipated/adverse events and protocol deviations.
• Assist in implementing protocol amendments under PI supervision.
• Provide study orientation and protocol‑related in‑services to research and clinical staff.
• Monitor protocol implementation and study progress; submit progress reports on schedule.
• Facilitate communications with sponsors, data coordinating centers, compliance monitors, collaborators, investigators, and academic administrative personnel.
• Assist in administrative tasks of study personnel, including orientation, competency documentation, certification mandates, and performance reviews.
• Implement cultural competency strategies for language translation and health literacy.
