Job summary

Shenandoah Oncology is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage clinical trials onsite. You will screen participants for eligibility, enroll them, coordinate care, and ensure protocol compliance.

This role supports sponsors and maintains regulatory documentation in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or higher, 3+ years of coordinator experience, and oncology trial exposure; SoCRA/ACRP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in a clinical or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum three years of clinical research coordination experience.
  • Oncology clinical research experience is preferred.
  • CCR P or ACRP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen potential participants for protocol eligibility.
  • Present trial concepts to participants and enroll them in trials.
  • Coordinate participant care in compliance with protocol requirements.
  • Disburse investigational product and maintain records.
  • Ensure protocol compliance in order preparation and billing guidance.
  • Maintain regulatory documents per SOPs and regulations.
  • Support monitoring visits and collaborate with research leadership.

Education

Associate’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum three years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience
SoCRA (CCRP) or ACRP certification preferred

$72,645.00 - $84,339 per year. The actual hiring rate may vary based on several factors, including your previous work experience, educational background, the responsibilities of the position, and demonstrated performance. Responsibilities
  • Screens potential participants for protocol eligibility.
  • Presents trial concepts and details to participants, participates in the informed consent process, and enrolls participants into clinical trials.
  • Coordinates participant care in compliance with protocol requirements.
  • May disburse investigational product and maintain accountability records.
  • Oversees preparation of orders by providers to ensure protocol compliance.
  • Packages and ships laboratory specimens to central vendors as applicable.
  • Completion of Hazmat and/or IATA training may be required.
  • In collaboration with providers, reviews participants for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medications, protocol compliance, and response to study treatment.
  • Thoroughly document all findings and participate in data collection.
  • Prepares study-related documentation, including protocol worksheets, adverse event reports, institutional review board (IRB) documents, and annual continuing review reports.
  • Maintains regulatory documents in accordance with organizational SOPs and applicable regulations.
  • May assist with scheduling monitoring and auditing visits and interact with monitors/auditors as needed.
  • May collaborate with research leadership in study selection processes.
  • Participates in required training and education programs.
  • May contribute to education of clinical staff regarding research procedures.
  • Works with staff to develop action plans and improvement initiatives to enhance quality.
  • May compile and report protocol activity, enrollment trends, data entry compliance, and research financial information to practice leadership and providers.
  • May review protocol-specific billing guides and submit billing information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum three years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience in a clinical research setting required. Oncology clinical research experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience independently obtaining informed consent, coordinating participant visits, managing regulatory documentation, reporting adverse events, and supporting sponsor monitoring visits preferred.
  • SoCRA (CCRP) or ACRP certification preferred.
