Job summary

RedBrick Staffing is seeking candidates for an assay development role in San Diego. The position involves developing and optimizing assays, validating assays, supporting experimental design, and ensuring compliance with QC and safety protocols.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field, experience in assay development, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chem, Biochem, Biology, or similar.
  • Experience with assay development (chem and/or molecular).
  • Experience with CAP/CLIA & NY regs; familiar with FDA & IVDR development requirements.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assay development & optimization.
  • Perform modification & validation of assays.
  • Support experimental design & data analysis.
  • Adhere to all compliance, lab safety, & QC procedures.
  • Handle biological specimens.
  • Perform analytical experiments.
  • Support lab ops & adhere to cGLPs.
  • Support the implementation of assay controls.
  • Maintain accurate lab notebooks.
  • Support the creation of SOPs & protocols.
  • Support reagent prep & supply inventory management.
  • Support equipment preventative maintenance & troubleshooting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
