Job summary

Retina Consultants of Texas in Bryan is seeking a Research Assistant to support clinical research visits per ICH-GCP guidelines and IRB-approved protocols. The role is based at our Bryan Clinic, with hours 6:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday, supporting the Research Department.

Responsibilities include coordinating visits, preparing documentation, obtaining consent, data entry, and assisting in patient care and study procedures.

Qualifications

• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Computer efficient.
• Communicates well both verbally and electronically; email, MS Teams, etc.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule subject visits within study windows per protocol.
• Prepare visit-specific documentation and charts for Clinical Research Coordinator.
• Inform subjects and obtain written consent.
• Assist Coordinator in patient care and management.
• Assist Coordinator in monitoring subject flow and data management.
• Transcribe study information to Electronic Case Report Forms.
• Administer questionnaires to study subjects.
• Set up and conduct ECGs as required by protocol.
• Scribe ocular exams and confirm treatment per protocol.
• Request medical records for Serious Adverse Event reporting.
• Handle collection, processing and shipment of lab samples.
• Perform intraocular pressure checks post-injections.
• Review data management queries and resolve them.
