University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Assistant to support the ADAPT clinical trial, focusing on participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and retention. The role involves assisting with IRB materials, clinical assessments, and operational support to the Clinical Research Coordinator.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in clinical/human subjects research.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Experience working in clinical research, healthcare, or other human subjects research settings.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, human subjects research requirements, and clinical research documentation and confidentiality practices.
Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy and detail.

Responsibilities

Assist with participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, enrollment, and retention; distribute IRB-approved recruitment materials.
Prepare study materials for participant visits and assist with standardized clinical assessment procedures.
Provide operational support to the Clinical Research Coordinator during visits and study activities; may work outside standard hours.
Collect, process, store, and ship biological specimens; backup phlebotomist for the study.
Support data collection, data entry, study records, and participant tracking; prepare administrative documentation.
