Job summary

University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland seeks a Research Assistant 3 to support a large IRB-approved study on patients with advanced cancer and their informal caregivers. The role involves administering protocols, coordinating data collection, and ensuring human subjects' compliance over a 12-month period.

You will supervise students, help with data cleaning, chart abstraction, and reports to the principal investigator, and assist with budget tracking and gift-card distributions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of research-related experience involving human participants required.
• Bachelor's degree in science required; Master's degree preferred.
• Must be certified for the protection of human subjects within 30 days of hiring; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support IRB-approved protocols and data collection over a 12-month period.
• Coordinate chart abstraction and interviews with patients and caregivers.
• Provide ongoing reports to the PI on data management and quality.
• Supervise students and research assistants; assist with onboarding and training.
• Assist with budget monitoring and distribution records for study participants.
