Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a rater on trials for Alzheimer’s, MCI and Parkinson’s disease.
  • Maintain data in the study database and ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere to GCP and IRB requirements; ensure data confidentiality.
  • Provide feedback to the team and participate in protocol training.
  • Collaborate with investigators and trial staff to ensure smooth operations.

Clinical Rater

Summary: PCR seeks a Clinical Rater in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) trials who is a specialized clinician or researcher responsible for administering, scoring, and documenting standardized psychometric and cognitive outcome assessments. A clinical rater will serve as a rater on clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment and Parkinson’s disease. The Clinical Rater will also conduct recruitment and lead educational public speaking events. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior level Clinician or Social Worker with geriatric experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with affiliates or collaborating research sites
  • Oversee and carry out the Free Memory Screen Clinic at respective site as assigned
  • Administersemi-structured interview,cognitive tests and rating scales
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the scales such as addressing queries, completing training, etc.
  • Serve as a rater on clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and Parkinson’s disease
  • Manage recruitment database, conduct recruitment and outreach initiatives for the various clinical trials
  • Lead educational public speaking events
  • Conduct special projects
  • Ensure assessments are conducted consistently and accurately across all participants
  • Ensure all data is accurately recorded into the study database
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all participant data
  • Regularly review data for completeness and accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
  • Adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and institutional review board (IRB) requirements
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of data collection and reporting
  • Attend regular training sessions to stay current with best practices and protocol updates
  • Work closely with the Principal Investigator, clinical trial coordinators, and other team members to ensure seamless study operations
  • Provide feedback to the research team on any issues or improvements related to assessment administration
  • Stay updated on advancements in neuropsychological assessment techniques and tools
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role
