Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH, seeks a Radiation Physicist to oversee calibration of treatment machines, dosimetry, and safety programs in Radiation Oncology. This regular, full-time position offers a 40-hour work week and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to interpret prescriptions, monitor plans, and contribute to clinical research and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree with math and physics concentration, preferably Medical Physics.
• Specialization in clinical radiation therapy physics.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology.
• ABR eligibility at minimum; expected certification within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical physics services for Radiation Oncology.
• Evaluate and interpret treatment prescriptions; supervise plans by Dosimetrists.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to design effective radiation treatments.
• Develop and execute equipment monitoring, calibration, and safety surveys.
