Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Physical Therapy Utilization Review Advisor to counsel providers, review medical necessity, and support cost-effective patient care for injured workers.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Physical Therapy, NPTE licensure, and at least eight years of related experience; Doctorate is preferred. Strong knowledge of workers' compensation rules and clinical guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy required with NPTE licensure.
• Eight years of related experience; Doctorate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation policies and PT guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Counsels providers on PT service usage, cadence, and duration.
• Reviews medical records and PT treatment plans for guidelines.
• Determines medical necessity and develops action plans for providers.
• Communicates therapy protocols with therapists and physicians.
• Participates in client meetings and quality assurance activities.
