Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking a Psychologist to conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations for veterans, service members, and claimants within a clinic setting. The role includes biopsychosocial assessments, cognitive testing, and detailed evaluative reporting per VHA, VBA, DMA, and APA guidelines.

You will maintain high ethical standards, protect claimant confidentiality, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives through accurate documentation and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required.
• APA-accredited program completed.
• Active, unrestricted psychology license in the applicable state.
• Thorough knowledge of state regulations, APA ethics and claimant rights.
• Minimum two years of behavioral health or assessment experience preferred.
• Experience with psychological testing and evaluations preferred.
• Experience in military health or Compensation & Pension settings preferred.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of testing techniques and interpretation.
• Understanding APA ethics and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial examinations and behavioral health evaluations of claimants.
• Perform psychological, developmental, and cognitive assessments with tests and documentation.
• Review medical and behavioral health records to support evaluations.
• Prepare intake, case, and evaluative reports per standards.
• Use findings to form objective clinical impressions within guidelines.
• Maintain confidential documentation compliant with laws and standards.
• Conduct claimant interviews and observations with professionalism and empathy.
• Educate claimants and families on evaluation processes and treatment adherence.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Engage in quality improvement, chart reviews, and workflow enhancements.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and claimant privacy; use community resources as needed.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with practices and testing.
• Adapt to fluctuating volumes and scheduling while maintaining quality.
