Job summary

MRG Exams is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to perform disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. You will electronically review behavioral health records through a secure web portal and conduct comprehensive, in-person assessments on each Veterans.

The Licensed Psychologist role is in-person, independent contractor work, with travel nationwide. You will not treat or prescribe medications; DBQs are completed through the portal, and VA disability

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist with a PsyD or Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program.
• Active & unrestricted psychology license.
• Candidates with multiple state licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Disability Assessments for United States Veterans; review behavioral health records.

Description

We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA’s disability benefits process.

In performing Disability Assessments, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and perform a comprehensive assessment in person on each Veteran.

You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.

The Licensed Psychologist DOES NOT make disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQs.

This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.

Licensed Psychologist will review and assess 4 Veterans per day on average.

Licensed Psychologist will be brought on as an Independent Contractor

Travel requirements:

We would need you to commit to at least two weeks of travel each month.

Travel to assigned location Sunday evening, return to home city Saturday morning.

This is an IN-PERSON position.

Requirements

MRG Exams is looking for a Licensed Psychologist who:

• Has a Ph.D. or Psy.D and has graduated from an APA-accredited program/school.
• Holds an active & unrestricted Psychology license.
• Candidates with multiple State licenses preferred.
• Must possess a valid, current driver’s license.
• Must maintain automobile liability insurance that meets MRG Exams’ requirements.
