Job summary

Avera Health in Mitchell, SD seeks a psychologist to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for behavioral health patients. You’ll participate in clinical consultation, community education, and multidisciplinary care with hospital departments.

You will conduct individual/family/group therapy, document outcomes in the EMR, and coordinate treatment with referring physicians and agencies, while maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in psychology (PhD, PsyD or equivalent).
• Active license in the state of practice.
• 2+ years in psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a clinical treatment program for diagnosis, treatment or referral for moderate to severe mental, behavioral, and/or social adjustment problems.
• Conduct individual, family or group therapy sessions per APA principles and Avera policies; document in EMR.
