Job summary

Novant Health Medical Group – Coastal Region in Wilmington, NC seeks a Psychologist to join our team of 11 physicians. The Clinical Psychologist performs psychiatric testing and reports to patients, families and providers, delivering patient-centered care across age and cultural groups.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ethical practice, and ongoing professional growth within a compassionate, community-focused system.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of one year professional experience under the direction of a licensed psychologist.
• Valid license to practice Clinical Child psychology in North Carolina required.
• Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations and APA standards as related to client treatment, patient rights and client/patient confidentiality.
• Previous clinical responsibilities to include psychological testing, diagnosis, crisis intervention, brief individual and group psychological testing techniques, administration and interpretation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities within multiple theoretical orientation.
• Patient centered focused.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team/medical setting.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
