Job summary

The University of Idaho seeks a Clinical Psychologist for a 1.0 FTE joint appointment in the Department of Health Professions and CMHC. Rank: Clinical Assistant Professor with potential for promotion; joint duties across teaching, supervision, scholarship, and direct clinical service.

The role includes 50% teaching/supervision/scholarship and 50% direct clinical service at CMHC, reporting through program and CMHC leadership. Non-tenure-track with APA-aligned expectations.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensed or License eligible as a clinical psychologist in Idaho.
• Training and supervised experience in evidence-based interventions, including at least one year of applied clinical practice.
• Experience with psychological assessment including administration, scoring, and interpretation of standard instruments.
• Experience teaching and mentoring students with graduate-level instruction or equivalent.
• Experience delivering clinically effective and ethical services with college students or similar population.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills; experience with interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise, and contribute to scholarship for the PsyD program and related faculty duties.
• Provide direct clinical service at CMHC (Counseling and Mental Health Center) 50% of time.
• Serve as core PsyD program faculty with an academic home in the Department of Health Professions.
• Collaborate across academic and clinical units; participate in program evaluation and meetings.
