University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Clinical Psychologist to provide direct psychological assessment and intervention for surgery candidates before and after procedures. Requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with Mississippi license eligibility or active licensure.

Two years of health psychology supervision is preferred. The role includes pre-operative evaluations, psychotherapy, group support, and collaboration within a transplant/surgical team.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
• Two years supervised experience in Clinical Health Psychology preferred.
• Active Psychology license or license eligible in Mississippi.

Responsabilités

• Completes pre-operative psychological evaluations.
• Gathers objective psychodiagnostic information for pre-transplant and pre-surgery evaluations.
• Makes recommendations to the treatment team based on evaluation findings.
• Conducts pre- and post-operative individual and group psychotherapy or other evidence based interventions.
• Facilitates general informational support groups.
• Participates as a member of multi-disciplinary transplant or surgical team; liaison to community behavioral health providers.
• Completes session notes, test reports and treatment plans; attends staff/team meetings.
• Participates in research projects and supports department programs; contributes to staff development.
