Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Prince George, MD is seeking a psychologist to develop and supervise behavior support plans within a community-based setting. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and train staff within an interdisciplinary team.

The position offers either full-time or part-time hours, with a salary around $90,000 per year based on experience, plus competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BCBA degree preferred and relevant certifications required.
• Experience with adults with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors is essential.
• Ability to analyze behavioral data and trends.
• Experience with behavioral development plans writing.
• Experience administering psychological or psychiatric assessments.
• Strong communication with clients, families, staff, and guardians.
• Background checks and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Write and synthesize BSPs, observe individuals, graph data, and interpret results.
• Conduct preference and functional assessments and incorporate health issues into analysis.
• Present BSPs to review committees
• Provide competency-based training to staff on BSPs and topics
• Monitor BSP implementation and retrain staff as needed
• Provide individual counseling and participate in committee meetings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to assess behavioral function
• Participate in psychiatric consultations and medical reviews
• Prepare ISP reports and attend related meetings
• Provide in-service training and external consultation as assigned
• Cooperate with licensing staff during inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned
