Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Clinical Psychologist to perform evaluations and develop IFSP/IEP goals across home, school, and clinic settings. You will gather histories, write reports, and ensure timely documentation, while supporting families and children in a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates hold a NYS Clinical Psychologist license, are passionate about pediatric therapy, and excel in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a NYS Clinical Psychologist license.
• Demonstrated passion for working with children and families.
• Self-motivated and a team player with professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological evaluations in home and school settings.
• Gather information to complete social histories.
• Write evaluation reports and social histories promptly.
• Draft IFSP and/or IEP goals for children.
• Determine need for additional assessments based on observations.
• Conduct evaluations in the child’s primary language.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations and submit records on time.

Job Responsibilities for a Clinical Psychologist:

• Administer Psychological Evaluations in home and/or school based settings.
• Gather necessary information to conduct social histories.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner.
• Write Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals.
• Determine need for additional assessments per observation and child needs.
• Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.

Requirements for a Clinical Psychologist:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Valid NYS Clinical Psychologist license
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Per evaluation $166.00-$298.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theClinical PsychologistJob interview process.
