Job summary

Barrington James is partnering with a global CRO to recruit a Clinical Project Manager for oncology studies in the United States. The role will serve as the main contact for sponsors, overseeing budgets, timelines and study execution while leveraging experience in drug development and GCP.

Applicants should bring at least ten years in the pharma industry, with six+ in project management, CPM/Senior CPM level, and familiarity with CTMS/eTMF systems. A current GCP certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in medicine, pharmacology, biology or related subject.
• 10+ years in the industry with at least 6 years in project management.
• Current CPM or Senior CPM at a CRO; CTM experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of drug development, GCP and clinical trial operations.
• Current GCP certificate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary liaison for sponsors on assigned studies.
• Lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
• Manage contractual deliverables, milestones and insurance.
• Control project scope and costs to manage financial risk.

Clinical Project Manager, Oncology (US Remote)

Barrington James is working with a global full-service CRO that is hiring a Clinical Project Manager in the US. The role is focused on oncology studies. The team also runs cardiovascular, neurology and ophthalmology work, so experience in those areas is a plus.

You will be the main contact for the sponsor on your studies, and you will be responsible for project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for sponsors on assigned studies
• Lead cross-functional team leads and third-party vendors
• Manage contractual deliverables, including milestone payments and insurance
• Manage project scope and costs to control financial risk
• Make sure studies follow company SOPs, policies and systems such as CTMS and eTMF, and elevate issues to management when needed
• Train project team members and give feedback on their performance to their line managers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in medicine, pharmacology, biology or a related subject
• At least 10 years of industry experience, including 6 or more years in project management
• Current CPM or Senior CPM at a CRO, with most of your recent experience in that role. Some earlier CTM experience is fine.
• Knowledge of drug development, GCP and clinical trial operations
• Current GCP certificate
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice to have

• Project management experience in cardiovascular, neurology or ophthalmology.
