Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Florida seeks a Clinical Practice Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the podiatry clinical staff and ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. You will coordinate scheduling, training, and performance management across the team.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive clerical competence, and collaboration with physicians to improve practice performance and patient outcomes. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant training from an approved program.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and one of CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certifications.
• Two (2) years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of clinical staff in Podiatry.
• Assist in hiring, supervision, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager/Director to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Manage scheduling and reporting to support clinical operations.
• Provide management reports to physicians and administration.
• Train staff on systems, processes and customer service expectations.

Position Title:Clinical Practice Supervisor

Department: Podiatry

Status: Full Time - Monday -Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Location: Travels between two locations - 13417 US-301 Dade City, Florida 33525 & 27416 Cashford Circle Wesley Chapel, Florida 33544

Position Summary: The Clinical Practice Supervisor has operational and clinical supervisory responsibility and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff within the department.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• The Supervisor focuses on daily operations such as personnel supervision, compliance with organizational policies and procedures, facility management, patient scheduling and business-related reporting and functions.
• Participates in the hiring, supervision, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions of assigned team members.
• Acts as a resource for the service line Assistant Vice President, Director of Operations, and/or Operations Manager.
• Collaborates with the service line Clinical Operations Manager or Director of Nursing to ensure clinical quality and standardization.
• Manages operations to provide physician clients with the most efficient and cost-effective clinical operation.
• Schedule’s staffing to meet changing workload needs.
• Identifies training needs for team members and facilitates development opportunities. This includes the evaluation of training, implementation, orientation, and participation of education programs.
• Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, regulations, and procedures. Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to the department.
• Able to analyze medical records and documentation and identify problem areas.
• Able to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
• Assist physician(s) with creation of strategies for efficiency and growth of the practice.
• Provides management reports to physicians and administration for review, practice planning, practice marketing, and completes practice development.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet development, and presentation skills required.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills required.
• Provides department level orientation to new team members to include system software, telephone processes and protocols, office equipment usage, departmental policies and procedures, customer service expectations, job competencies, and coaching plans.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

• Educates and supervises clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Provides necessary documentation relating to policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of data and information.
• Functions as a member of the medical office management team.
• Knowledge of medical practice protocols and standards.
• Skilled in documentation of patient care including reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
• Other clinical tasks/duties as needed

Qualifications

Education/TrainingHigh school graduate or equivalent.Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school required or above.

Licensure/CertificationMaintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification – and maintains current certification by one of the following agencies:
