Job summary

  • Coordinate with ambulatory professional development team and office management.

Education

Short Description

Perform a variety of duties in ambulatory settings such as primary, multi‑specialty, and specialty practices. Involve in clinical and administrative tasks including assisting providers with patient care and handling clerical, environmental and organizational duties. Provide patients with information to fully utilize clinical services. Maintain working knowledge of regulatory standards. Ensure compliance and oversight provided by medical providers and the ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Experience Required
  • Minimum one year of recent healthcare experience preferred and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.
  • Electronic health record experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding patient experience skills.
  • Graduate of a post‑secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC(13:35‑6.4) approved certifying body and current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners. A complete and current listing is available in the Human Resource Department.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
